Sedgwick County EMS Honor Guard
Est. 2005
Our Uniform
This is the design of the Sedgwick County EMS Honor Guard Commendation Pin. It was designed by one of our members and was the first symbol commissioned to represent the Guard. Each new member received the commendation pin to be worn on their regular duty uniform as well as their dress uniform. The black is used to represent the memorial of the decreased and the purple represents the reverence and memory of our fallen comrades.
This is the Sedgwick County EMS Commander Medal. It bears the colors of the honor Guard as well as the seal of Sedgwick County. It is awarded and passed down to each succeeding Commander which established a tradition and legacy for the members and commanders of the future.
The Sedgwick County EMS Honor Guard Patch is designed using the shield portion of the honor Guard Crest. The patch bears the established dates of the Sedgwick County EMS and the SCEMS Honor Guard respectively. It is worn on the right shoulder of the HG members dress jacket
The Oak Leaf pin is purchased from the National EMS Memorial Service and is awarded to any members who have participated in the service. It is worn on the right lapel of their dress uniform
